Karen's health insurance company, Livanta wanted the records from the McCook, Nebraska clinic. The clinic first lied and said there was no one there by the name Naomi Olson. And when I objected, they then said they would not send the records. Which was illegal. Instead of pressing charges Livanta turned it over to Medicare. It was a year before Medicare got the records. And then when Medicare did the examination (by an unknown doctor) they sent me a letter that had the form for me to respond if I wanted to object to their decision, giving me ONLY THREE DAYS. The letter came three days after the cut off date. I called them and told them. They said fill it out and send it. So I did. I called them that I had sent it, and they told me that they had closed the case. Despite the fact they had pictures of Karen's infected foot which I had sent them they concluded that Karen had no infection when we went in to see the doctor. Do you see why I am so upset. You and your family are next. That's how they're treating us.
