Mormonism:

by
Dean Gotcher

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."  John 14:6

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

" I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.  For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.  But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."  Galatians 1:6-11

"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him." 2 Corinthians 11:3-4

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2 Timothy 4:3, 4

"Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:  For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds."  2 John 1:9-11

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."  2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness." Luke 11:35, 36

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2 Timothy 4:4

Are the Indians one of the lost tribes of Israel?   DNA testing reveals that they are not.

Can you drop 8 bottles (arcs) in the ocean in the Middle East and have them all arrive at the same place at the same time in Central America?

Does God need man's logic in how to make something?

Can a hand full of people in a short period of time build a working model of the Solomon's Temple in a foreign place (a jungle area).

Do people forget tools of industry that make their life better, leaving no trace of having learned them?   History has proven that when people have tools which make their lives better, they will use them and propagate them into all areas of their lives (why civilization "advances").

Did the Indians have steal swords (requiring alchemy: steal requires 95-96 % iron + 1-2 % carbon plus traces of chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, or manganese to make it stainless, all of which demands precise measurement and controls of materials and heat) before Columbus arrived?   History has proven that when tools of war are discovered they are propagated into all areas of life, to make life better, until something more advanced comes along, but they are still used when necessary (they and the art craft used of making them are not forgotten, they are used in all areas of life, not disappearing from civilization, i.e. with no evidence of them having been used or known).

Did the Indians have chariots (wheels and wagons) before Columbus arrived?  History has proven that people will always advance methods of travel and war when they are discovered, not forget them, leaving no trace of them ever having learned them.

Did the Indians have horses before Columbus arrived?  History has proven that when you can ride something instead of walking, making travel and hauling things easier, you will ride.

Did the Indians record their knowledge of making steal, riding horses, making chariots, etc. then lose their records or forget them, not incorporating what they learned in their language in any way?  History has shown that what people learn they incorporate into their language.

More can be said.

Leon Festinger, in When Prophesy Fails, wrote about how and why people unite around the prophet and his prophesy even stronger after it is proven false or fails―strengthening their belief and hope in the man and his religious views, because of their identity with the group, i.e. the feeling of "oneness,"  i.e. in "the approval of men," associated themselves with social and financial security, i.e. "human relationship" (approaching pleasure and avoiding pain) united them around the doctrine of men, controlling their thoughts and their actions. This is the basis for the so called "new" world order and the "great falling away."  Any institution which punishes you, rejects, and persecutes you for trying the spirits (weighing what man says, from the Word of God, i.e. being like the Lord, stating "It is written," "It is finished") to see if what they are saying or doing is from God or not, is a cult.  We are to call no man Father on earth.  We have one Heavenly Father who sent his only begotten Son to 'redeem' us from our sins and 'reconcile' us to His Heavenly Father.  Any cult which uses their own "scriptures" for their end (the control of people) will discredit the scriptures (in favor of their fables), even when their fables are exposed as fables (as lies).

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Mormonism is based upon dialectic 'reasoning,' upon man 'justifying' himself according to his own' reasoning, 'redeeming' man from God, 'reconciling' him to the things of this world (or worlds of his own making, i.e. worlds of his own imagination, uniting all who will listen to him upon his gospel of hope, which is not the gospel). "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."  Galatians 1:8

Although Mormonism recognizes the Constitution, which limits the power of government, Mormonism along with Catholicism, both seeking for world dominance, could never have created it.  It was created by those who were of the true gospel, recognizing the individual soul before God, with no man or religious institution coming between him and God  It was created upon the principle of the "freedom of the conscience."  "Protestantism was the strongest force in the extension of cold rational individualism."  (Max Horkheimer, Vernunft and Selbsterhaltung)   Even the Marxists knew this.  "For the men who made the Constitution there was no principle that did not derive its authority from a religious source." "Government and its trust is ‘found on the nature of man, that is, on the will of his Maker and . . . [is] therefore sacred. It is an offence against Heaven to violate that trust.'" (Max Horkheimer, Eclipse of Reason)   That trust was not found in any religious institution, i.e. in any "Church," but in the Lord himself.  Otherwise why would you limit government when you could gain control over it to control men, which Mormonism seeks to do, and use if for "God's" work (their work) here on earth.

God blessed this nation because men feared and served Him alone, not because they feared and served any "religious" (secular) institution which happened to use his name.  Adding to the Word of God (adding and riding on it for personal gain) or making man's words equal with God's Word (negating God's Word as the authority) is to seduce, deceive, and manipulate man, i.e. make him "feel good" in your use of him, gaining control over him for your carnal gain.  Charlatans have known and done this down through the ages.  Despite how "good" they might make you "feel," don't be deceived.  They are nothing more than thieves, taking that which is not theirs to take, i.e. taking all the souls they can to their final resting place in hell, trying to convince themselves and those that are following them that it will be (is) heaven.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."  "Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."  "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine." John 10:1-14

We will all stand before the Lord and be held accountable for our thoughts and actions to Him and Him alone.  No institution can save us.  Only His atoning blood can redeem us from His Heavenly Father's wrath upon us.  Only his resurrection can reconcile us to the Father.  All other ways are lies.

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.  Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?  And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."  1 Thessalonians 2:3-12
