Concerning discrimination

by

Dean Gotcher

I thought it strange to fill out a form asking me for my age, race, sex, religious belief, etc. when I entered collage back in 1967 in an age of "anti-discrimination."  Are we really this dumb?  To ask a person for their age, race, sex, belief, etc. is an act of discrimination.  Somebody is lying to you ("a thief and a robber") when they ask you for your age, race, sex, religious belief, etc, to prevent discrimination.  When you eat, you discriminate according to your tastes and needs.  We are to discriminate between righteousness and unrighteousness, i.e. who we will follow and who we will not, who we believe in and who we do not.  According to dialectic 'reasoning' that is a crime.  To them everything must be an opinion, adaptable to 'change' not a belief, rigid and fixed, (except for their belief in dialectic 'reasoning,' i.e. which is abomination).  With God, right and wrong, good and evil is established for all times, according to His will.  On the day of judgment men's opinions (your opinion, i.e. 'change') won't count.  Who's voice are you listening to and following today?  Man's or God's.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice." John 10:1-4

"And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16: 17, 18  The rock of the church is built upon God revealing himself unto his own by His word, not upon mans opinions of God. That revealed word being: "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."  It (He and His Father's voice) changes everything.  (Matthew 16: 16)  emphasis added to verses above.

"Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the God." Jesus quoting Deuteronomy 8:3  emphasis added.

If the Lord does not change (cleanse) your deceitful and wicked heart, even when you hear His word you will continue to seek after the things of this world, i.e. a world of 'change,' i.e. a world of "cares," "deceitfulness," and "lusts."  "And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful."  Mark 4:18, 19

Your "friends," who you develop relationship with through "human relationship building" programs, when they become "offended" by the "affliction or persecution" which comes from the world, for the word of God's sake, are not your true friends.  They are friends of the world.  Those of dialectic 'reasoning,' i.e. ministers of 'change,' know that you will be forced to choose between them and the Lord, putting your hope in them (in man) instead.  "And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended."  Mark 4:17

"Church growth," with its dialectic 'reasoning' ministers of 'change' leading the way, does not ground you in the word of God but rather in the opinions of men, preparing you to 'willingly' participate in "great falling away."   "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."  1 Thessalonians 2:3-5

Discriminate between who you will follow and who you will not today, or you will follow "the man," i.e. "the man" of the world's making.  "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth." Colossians 3:2  "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Mark 8:36
